The Day to Day

I was a dual intern meaning I worked both in the customer service office as well as on the production floor. My days looked different every day.

And everything in between

Customer Service Day to Day

As a customer service intern, I was immersed into the every day responsibilities of the department. I learned to create positive customer experiences while fixing problems on customer orders, answering questions about the products, placing bulk orders for customers, and everything else in my capacity via email and live chat.

I gained technical knowledge on systems like ERP and soft skills like communication. This department had so much knowledge to offer. It is an extremely rewarding experience to help a customer, especially during the Christmas season that I got to be a part of during my internship. I am grateful to have been a dual intern as I had the opportunity to physically make corrections on the production floor that I made at my desk in customer service.

Manufacturing Management Day to Day

My manufacturing management role started on the Bloopers project, which quickly grew to become its own department. Anything that does not match the exact product ordered, whether the thread color is wrong or the monogram is wrong, it is sent to the Bloopers department to be sold on the website at a discount. I spent most of the time at the beginning by adding Blooper items to the website, managing the 6,000 active pieces, and maintaining the website Blooper photos.

And everything in between

As the Christmas season grew closer and production sped up, I had the opportunity to assist on the wave team. Here I had the responsibility of supporting the production efforts by doing anything in my power to get orders out the door on time for the holidays. This included making corrections to orders, finding lost items, remaking items, and packing orders.
